The Hidden Room is a celebrated "theatrical curiosity shop" in Austin, Texas. I feel very honored and lucky to serve as their 'Master of Art Design,' creating all of their branding, collateral, and show posters for almost fifteen years. "No one understands the crossroads between classic beauty, fairytale fantasy, and the tiniest bit of gothic haunt quite like the Hidden Storybook's Art Designer, Jennymarie Jemison"
The vibe is darkly mysterious and alluring. Here I am trying to achieve that with my face while wearing Hidden Room merch.
Here are some of my favorite show posters. Sometimes I incorporate photographs of the performers and do a lot of photoshop magic to make them merge with the style of the artwork. Typography features heavily in all materials. More logos at the bottom of page.
