For clients with big dreams but small budgets, I frequently devised cost-efficient creative strategies to help them grow responsibly. For these young entrepreneurs, I came up with a solution for dreaming big in terms of product expansion without a lot of billable hours being devoted to design exploration. I created the branding and then built a versatile label system that could be easily adapted as the small brand expanded into new product offerings.

I created a versatile pattern system, inspired by juicy succulents, bright green matcha tea, and the geometry of our iconic Austin moontowers. After the launch of the original green tea flavors, the system allowed for new options as they were introduced.
ALKEMY BREWLAB •Branding and label design
This Brooklyn-based coffeeshop wanted a scientific-feeling, yet intriguing look and feel for their precisely-spiced chai concentrate. Before switching to a brown bottle, we included an educational illustration of the tea plant on the inner label.
EARLY BIRD GRANOLA •Re-brand and label design
Early bird wanted a refresh of their branding and packaging for their homemade granola line. The new direction retained the bird illustration from their previous look but paired it with eclectic yet homey patterns, surprising color combinations, and design elements that were familiar but surprising to draw the eye to the product on a crowded shelf. Sales surged and the line expanded to grocery stores across the country.
